Kia ora, Talafo, Kiaorana, welcome to our Breens website.
I hope you enjoy finding out about Breens and all the Beautiful, Belonging, Brave, Bold and Brilliant learning that takes place here.

I am very proud of Breens and what a great 'centre of learning' we have here. There is a beautiful whakatauki (a Maori proverb) that says 'Ma te tuakana te teina e totika. Ma te teina te tuakana e totika.' Which talks about reciprocal learning. The younger person can learn from the older person  and the older person can learn from the younger person. No one person is more important than the other. We are proud of the strong relationships that exist between the child and the teacher here at Breens.

I am very fortunate to be the Tumaki (principal) of a Brilliant School. Our school is Brilliant for two reasons - Brilliant Children and Brilliant Staff.

Brian Price - Principal.

Important Information

Music Appreciation Evening - Monday 1 December at 7pm
We welcome our families and friends to join us in the school hall to support those students who have been learning music this year. Our school Choir will also perform during this evening.

Athletics Day

Due to the weather you will know that our Athletics Sports had to be postponed.
Canterbury Primary School Sports require our zone entries by Tuesday afternoon. Therefore we have come up with the following solution:

Spints Finals - These will be held TOMORROW - Friday. 1:30-3:00
Field Events - Finals: 1:00-2:00 Monday 10th November.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. We are really looking forward to seeing two great Athletics meets tomorrow and on Monday.

Kind Regards
